Within Sophos Central, you will be able to set up an Update Management policy to allow you to specify a time suitable for your organisation.

We do not recommend running two AV scanners at the same time.
We do allow exclusions, but not wildcards at this time. -

Hello Terry,
Thank you for your suggestion, but just to let you know that we are retiring the SAV for vShield product in March 2018. https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/125236. We have a new VM security offering called Sophos for Virtual Environments. This has the benefits of SAV for vShield but will protect ESXi and Microsoft's Hyper-V environments. As you have entitlement for SAV for vSheild you will automatically have the licenses for Sophos for Virtual Environments. see more in this datasheet https://www.sophos.com/en-us/medialibrary/PDFs/factsheets/sophos-virtualization-security-dsna.pdf

Hello @--As--
We do have desktop messaging as an item for Sophos for Virtual Environments. However we do have some other features and functionality planned before this.
Please keep an eye out for product updates, but I will also post here once I have a firm date for you. -

Further to the above, what features would you like HIPS to do?

Hello Jeremy,
Thank you for your feedback, we are looking at ways to increase the security of Linux servers and HIPs is one of the features on the list.
We do not as yet have a date for this as there are a few new features coming 1st. These are in planning, so do keep in contact with your account manager who will give you roadmap updates once they are released.
All the best
Mark
By default, Sophos Anti-Virus does not scan items on remote computers (that is, does not traverse
remote mount points).
• To scan remote computers, use the option --no-stay-on-machine. Type: savscan path --nostay-on-machine.
