    We are looking at changes to help avoid large numbers of reboot related alerts. This work is not yet planned, so I can’t provide a date, but the proposed implementation would be as below.

    For urgent reboots, e.g. to complete removal of a competitor product being replaced, users will see a notification immediately.

    For non-urgent reboots (i.e. where protection is maintained), users will not see a reboot for the first 2 weeks (typically they will reboot in this time anyway, e.g. for windows updates).

    If not rebooted for 2 weeks they will see a notification they can dismiss.

    The reboot notification be persistent on an endpoint; it will require acknowledgement by the user to clear it. We would expect to have a registry key to be able to prevent this behaviour for systems like shop tills, advertising displays and so on.

    If a further week goes by without a reboot…

    Sophos, could you please implement this already? The amount of unnecessary alerts and false positives that open tickets waste a lot of our team's time. I can't believe that the only thing we can adjust now is which email addresses receive the alerts! Please approve this change and allow for more granularity with alert emails.

    Sophos, can you please implement this already? This is truly frustrating and does not add anything to security. We need ability to extend timeout for log outs due to inactivity, preferrably with ability to customize via IP or subnet for different thresholds, etc. For example, for internal users on our network, we're ok to have longer inactivity logout and anyone outside of our network or VPN a much shorter one.

    Also, it's 99.99% a false positive alert, triggered each time when you just enable encryption on the machine. It showed up for all machines that we enabled encryption for so far and then went away eventually. Of course we had to deal with 100+ tickets that needed to be closed as false positives!

    I can't believe this is not configurable by partners. This timeout period is way to short and does not allow us to work efficiently.
