I'm amazed that sophos is ignoring so many requests. Considering that so many of the building blocks, such as openvpn, ipv6 tunnels and proxy servers are supported, it makes no sense why this feature has not been implemented. I'm running out of patience. I've avoided pfsense because it wouldn't run on hyper-v, but that has changed with the latest release. I'm giving it a close look. I would rather not stop using utm, but I do not like having to manually manage a vpn.

@coewar, submit that as a feature request.

People are still asking for this and it's been in the top 10 of most requested features for a long time. Many users for many reasons would like to route traffic through vpns to other countries. It's not difficult, just take a look at the setup to install openvpn in client mode. I hope this feature will be addressed in the next release. It's long overdue.

I agree that this feature is necessary. UTM uses OpenVPN, which is a standard. It makes no sense that UTM cannot import a .ovpn file plus the necessary certs and key. This should be a relatively trivial feature to implement, since a .ovpn file is clear text. Alternataively to supporting importation of a .ovpn, UTM could generate a template .apc file with clearly defined sections for a user to paste in the relevant info (ovpn configuration plus certs and key). How hard can that be?

This item should be combined with "SSL VPN: Convert .ovpn to .apc/.epc for Site-to-Site SSL Tunnels", because they have the same objective. Combined, they would be the 5th highest requested item.

Currently, it's a limitation of utm that only one ip address is allowed per static host. If you want to allocate static ip addresses for a laptop which has wired and wireless NICs, this means you have to create two static hosts. This uses two of the allowed number of hosts when there is actually only one physical host. Even if there is not a "full DNS server", this limitation should be fixed.

It's a simple feature to end / delete a dhcp lease. It should be possible to end / renew all leases, as well as individual leases.

Agreed this should be supported, both directly where the ipv6 address is provided by the ISP, as well as where the ipv6 address is a tunnel.
