being able to see the current firmware version and hotfix would be a great help for management

Your approach is basically using 802.11x standard. Cisco did this with their NAC product, which was the predecessor to ISE.
Good points. But I would argue that Sophos has focus, but not in the way you're thinking of it. Sophos' focus is on security. With its varied products providing endpoint protection, email protection, encryption management, phish training, wireless protection and management, I don't think you can say that Sophos has product focus, but instead is focused on managing all aspects of network security. Adding one more layer to the mix, with a single pane of glass to manage, a holistic approach to security, and controlling each entry to the network or device is a win-win in my opinion.

I'm quite positive that the original time out was 20 minutes. After enough partners complained, it was finally changed to 60 minutes. I don't understand how if it was done before, its such a major issue to do again.

I wouldn't mind the time out if it was based on idle time. It's frustrating to be working in it and see it start 'spinning' only to finally get the login page and have to redo everything that it didn't save.

Importance of this feature?; 1 = Critical

who in their right mind thought Auto log out after 60 minutes (regardless of activity) was a good idea? this is the most frustrating and asinine idea. when can we expect an update to fix this?

The limited DHCP management, such as a simple delete lease or create a static reservation from an existing lease, makes using the XG as a dhcp server quite frustrating.

With all due respect Humberto, I think the point is to know about the disk failing before the entire unit fails. For my HPE and Dell services, I can get S.M.A.R.T. alerts about the "predictive failure" status of a disk. This let's me get the disk replace the disk before the harddrive and/or server fails completely.
It would be a lot better to get notification that the disk as a problem before finding out when the firewall has completely failed.

if your network has a static IP address, then you can create a connector in O365 and allow relay, in which case you can send straight smtp messages from the XG.
The problem is with SMB networks that have dynamic connections, of which I have several. I agree with the general feeling here that using gmail to relay notifications for o365 customers looks ridiculous.

I'm happy. It's definitely a good start, but yes, I would agree that the 4k limit needs to be much larger.

I am also adding the Sophos phishing domains to the whitelist and it is very time consuming to add each domain, one-by-one. The ability to import is a no-brainer

Particularly since upgrades from CFM don't work. I spent an hour with a tech today trying to troubleshoot why CFM won't upgrade the devices, only to find out there are 2 bug reports on the issue: NCCC-6666 or NCCC-5816. There may be 3 since he also gave me NCCC-6665. Unfortunately, I can't find any reference to any of the bug IDs and can only presume that they are internal only, in which case we can't even monitor the status.

even worse, I'm not seeing in the partners central portal, where the CFM can even approve or install firmware updates. why should I have to log into the device to install updates?

for me, it's not a matter of losing backups (those are automatically sent on a regular basis), but an invaluable way of having your configuration in readable format, for things like compliance or security review.

I've been able to send notifications to multiple recipients on the UTM for years now. Once again, we see that features are lacking on the XG side, when there really isn't any excuse for it.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're asking for, there is an export option in the Log Viewer (the download icon at the top left). It exports the log to a csv file.
