Generally just more updated USB dongles supported.
In the EU nordic countries - we are in Denmark - it is allmost impossible to buy one of the older 4G/LTE dongles that are supported, and most of the models that CAN be bought i typically a slightly different revision, and thus is not recognized by the REDs... :-( -

Great idea. This feature will be part of UTM 9.2 which will enter public beta in October. You will be able to test it out at that time. Stay tuned!

Can you PLEASE try to get this finished for UTM 9.5?
I know it's a lot to ask, since you've only had a little over three years since you stated this would be in 9.2 beta release...

So... is this planned still? I am on UTM 9.4, and am not really seeing anything on signal status for my RED devices...

Wait a minute... this thread is from 2013 - with status PLANNED!?!
Whats the status on this? Is it implemented in the SG/UTM versions allready?
If so, why is this ticket still open?I have gone straight to XG appliance - when will I have these features?
To me it is a must-have feature, to see these informations on my RED devices..!An error occurred while saving the comment Martin Damgaard commented
Please also add this to next XG release!

Hello D:
Your solution does indeed work for the single purpose of giving access to the user portal.
But there is other issues and thing that can not be integrated this way. So it is still not a one-stop solution.Martin Damgaard supported this idea ·

This feature was implemented in XG Firewall
An error occurred while saving the comment Martin Damgaard commented
Hi Alan
We abandoned the XG platform half a year ago, because allmost everything is highly BETA status, and very much untested, and things are breaking all over the place between firmware updates.
Right now were happy customers on the UTM platform, and will be for the coming years until XG matures and the platforms merge into a stable product.
In the meantime, please stop pointing UTM users in the direction of XG, as it is clearly not mature for enterprise and corporate installations!
This is a small fix to the current very stable UTM platform - just accept the peoples voice, and implement, or reject it.
Your "This feature was/is/mayby - soon implemented XG firewalls is of no use to your loyal customers who is still on UTM for a reason! An error occurred while saving the comment Martin Damgaard commented
But in XG allmost everything else is broken!!!

Hi Alan
Good to hear that it is implemented in XG platform.
Unfortunately that platform still has so many issues with allmost everything else, that i personally would not consider it for our business again for at least a couple of more years to come!Martin Damgaard supported this idea ·

Can you not allready do this, by just briefly disable the tunnel on the UTM, and then enable it again?
I believe this would trigger a reboot of the RED at the other end..? -

Please Sophos...

This is indeed very much needed. Now i have to keep my VPN users on the old Cisco ASA with Cisco VPN Client, simply because i cannot roll out a new VPN client for all mobile users!
I even looked into moving the Cisco VPN client users onto the XG by using the Cisco VPN Client option on the XG appliance - but unfortunately it is not possible to immitate the ASA box preshared key and Group membership settings on the XG box.
So for now, we have to keep the ASA box running, for our VPN clients.
Please make it possible to deploy a single VPN client installation to multiple users! Or at least give proper information on how to do this with third party VPN client software - i don't care if it will cost me Money - if i can just do it somehow!
