  1. Email Gateway - Inbound Allow/Block: Option to still apply DNS span/spoof checks to allowed domains

    Email Gateway - Inbound Allow/Block:

    Option to keep DNS checks on allowed domains, we have authenticated third party senders (with SPF and DKIM set up to prove their authenticity).

    However smart banners still flags this as a "non trusted sender" so we whitelisted the domain but this bypasses all spam checks including DNS.

    We would like some options for the whitelist instead of just global allow and block. Allow in our opinion should have an option to still perform DNS checks against domain to identify if spoofed email is from a legitmate third party or actual spam.

  5. Sophos Central Email: Smart banner support for plain-text email

    At this time smart banners can only be applied to emails with html content in it. Suggesting for the ability for Central to also add a banner in plain-text.

    The email size limit in Email Gateway is 50Mb. This is restrictive in some instances and users should be able to increase this limit in their environment. to 100Mb for example.

  8. Search filter

    Very incompetent Sophos.. How does the search filter work? I search for the first name and result comes back with 4 entries. When I put in the whole email address, I get pages of entries. Please clarify.

  10. SMTP Logs

    Access to SMTP logs for our domains is needed. We have no way to troubleshoot when an email is rejected BEFORE being scanned and processed.

  11. Sophos Email Protection - Ability to delete items in delivery queue

    We are currently running into some issues with emails containing malicious payloads making it through the Sophos Email Protection system and are hitting our edge firewall. Since our edge firewall is a next gen, its catching the malicious payload and not allowing the message to be delivered.

    The issue is that we have no way of stopping the email once it has hit Sophos, so we have to wait for the email to go through its many retries, subsequent failures, and then eventually time out for it to be removed from the email queue. This is obviously a little frustrating,…

  12. Email Employees when quarantined emails are received

    Would it be possible to setup an auto generated email, that emails the employee internally when they receive a quarantined email, informing them of the sender and subject of the email ?

    Then should an email be quarantined by mistake, the user can request the message be released, without IT Departments have to monitor the quarantined emails. This is time consuming for smaller organisations.

  13. Customize Quarantine Digest

    Using the on-premise email appliance, admins can customize the from email, and content on the quarantined digest messages in case users want to login, they can click directly from the email. Please allow this on the cloud - this will be a killer for us that have users that blatantly ignore sophos.com emails because they have no clue what Sophos is.

  14. Action policy rules in a customised order

    In the email gateway product, would it be possible to have the option to customise the order so that the keyword policy can be actioned prior to the spam policy, much in the same you would order a Firewall rule. We are seeing legitimate emails blocked as spam and therefore do not want to automatically delete these however it is meaning that we have to check hundreds of emails a day in the quarantined area and delete emails that contain known spam\phishing words.

  15. Email Gateway - add option to add email address to block list

    Suggestion for feature in Email Gateway product

    Hello,
    In the Email Gateway product, the quarantine messages section allows the option to add an IP address to the block list when clicking to get more details. Is it possible to have this option for the email address listed in the details too? It would save a lot of time to allow this option as opposed to manually inputting the email addresses into the allow/block lists, especially when you are doing large quantities at a time.

  16. Quarantine digest for distribution groups

    Using the on premise email appliance members of distribution groups used to receive quarantine email digest summaries and could access, view, and release quarantined email that was sent to those distribution group email addresses. Using the cloud appliance this is no longer an option. Members of distribution groups can no longer access, view, or release incoming mail that has been quarantined. Members of distribution groups are totally unaware when emails may be missing because they are quarantined without their knowledge.   18. Emergency Mailbox not useful if user's mail server is down

    Emergency Mailbox access is only useful if the user can reach its mailbox to set up his/her Emergency Mailbox access log on credentials. If the user can't reach his/her mailbox due to email service interruption (servers offline), then the user can't use the Emergency Mailbox.

    case 1:

    Today, admins only have the option to send the "welcome to sophos" links to the users mailbox. That is fine as long as the user can see that message, but in the event the user can't retrieve his/her mail, they won't be able to use the Emergency Mailbox in SSP.
