For enhanced accountability and to keep relevant stakeholders informed, I'd like to an expansion to the Sophos API to go beyond event and alert integration with an SIEM and also include the ability to create, read, update and delete policies and the targets to where they are applied. I'd like to be able to export (and import) from data document format such as JSON, YAML, XML, etc. so that we can put them into revision control (i.e., git) for programmatic peer review and approval prior to any changes being deployed to our policy sets rather than having individual users making changes through the console without a record as to when the change was made and a way to absolutely revert (to the previously saved export).
