Suggest an Idea for Sophos Central...

Need way to export device version information.

In light of the windows update issue and the need to make sure clients are at a correct version, there needs to be a way to export a list of devices and endpoint version numbers. Having to click on each individual computer to see that information is ok for a customer with 20 devices but unfeasible for a customer with hundreds of devices.

    I tried raising this as a bug - due to the risk of endpoints failing to boot, the versions must be carefully checked. A number of our customers have hundreds of endpoints and manually checking these is not possible. If the functionality was in SEC, why isn't it in Central. Even looking at the RAG status, green doesn't mean the version is correct

    In Central the only report you can get is export to CSV under Devices. Currently we do not have a report to give you the details requested.

    Customers need to urgently check which endpoints have been updated to the latest version of Sophos antivirus - this is as a result of the problems with the April update KB 133945 https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/133945

    Unless customers examine devices individually in central, there doesn't appear to be a way of producing a report or adding fields to the "device display"

    Each device needs to be accessed individually - our customers have hundreds of endpoints meaning checking the version is next to impossible,

    One of our customers has SEC as well as Central and all he wants is to be able to display a list of endpoints indexed on Sophos Antivirus version number ( as he can do in SEC)

    We do not consider this to be a feature request as Sophos are asking us / our customers to do something in the KB which doesn't appear to be currently possible with Central.

    I have uploaded a picture that shows the functionality in SEC that's missing but required in Central. As you can see the green status isn't a good enough indicator to show the AV is up to date
