Recover deleted items
Sometimes emails get deleted by Email Gateway. Many times it is correct but there are times when it is not. Currently we have no way to recover a message that has been deleted. Rather than automatically dumping them, it would be helpful to allow messages to move to an admin only area to be reviewed and possibly downloaded directly from the portal, or released if it is determined that there is a need. A good example, we had an wayward block rule deleting all email from gmail.com. After finding the issue it would have been super helpful to go back and redeliver the deleted emails to users so they did not have to request the messages be resent.

This is an occurrence when my users accidentally delete emails from their quarantine notification, which the users actually need. Would be ideal to have an admin area in Email Gateway on Sophos Central to go recall those emails. So if end users do make this mistake it can be solved from admin and not have to tell them can't do anything contact the sender again.
+1 to this. We recently had a 'bug' in the malware detection engine, of Sophos Cloud Email Gateway, mistakenly delete several of our vendor's emails without notification and it led to much bigger consequences internally. Being able to be notified of, or retain a text only copy of the email is a must if you are going to delete emails.
