Ability to set Email Alerts setting.
Send alert from only Servers, specific group etc.
Email Alerts setting should be more flexible.

At least the ability to turn off alerts for those of us who are admins but not first line of support.
Any further updates on this? The amount of emails I get from Sophos due to the way we need to authenticate to the product is crazy.
Surely this is not a big development piece.

I agree, getting alerts to all admins and helpdesk email causes a lot of ignored items and it is very important to be able to customize these alerts asap. Based on alert level and based on alert type, customize who they go to or not is very important to operations.

Completely agree. There's a few ideas on this portal saying the same thing. Hopefully it's built in soon.
I came to this comment for the same reason Oliver states - the real-time protection false positive alerts that are sending out too many emails, and to too many people.
Up Vote for this.
We have many customers where Admin's get "Real-time Protection Disabled", Real-time Protection Re-Enabled", "Update Successful".
We need to have the ability to filter out these emails going to admin's stating that Real-Time protection is disabled when it's caused by a system update.

This is honestly the most annoying part about Sophos Central. I get so many of these emails about "A client is out of date" "One or more sophos services is missing or not running" "Policy Non-Compliance Malware Protection" etc.
Do you want to be automatically sent to a folder and ignored? That's how you get sent to a folder and ignored.
There needs to be a way of tailoring the email alerts so that we can mange how, when and what kind of alerts are received by Administrators.
I currently have email alerts logging tickets in our Service Desk system and we get at least 5 a day, by the time we come to resolve them they are sometimes resolved e.g. Sophos Central will report a machine is out of date but has caught up when we come to take a look at it. This is causing a lot of admin time being spent on assigning and closing tickets.
Totally agree that any mature enterprise product would want to have this feature to allow granular control of alerting.

It almost seems like a bad joke that you can't customize e-mail alerts. I don't need everyone with an Admin account getting alerts when only select people are responsible for monitoring and addressing them.
This seems like a fundamental functionality of competing products that has been completely missed by Sophos.

Please sophos. I get so many irrelevant emails from sophos daily. I look at them all, but a majority of them have to do with a, "Client Not receiving updates" or another stupid alert that usually resolves itself. I need to be able to configure notifications. This is such a basic feature for an enterprise product.
I get email alerts telling me some of the sophos elements have been disabled...ONLY TO FIND OUT THIS IS DUE TO AN UPDATE!!!
I am now either chasing my tail for nothing or am going to ignore the emails neither i want to do!

The email alerts are too frequent and more or less minimize the importance of email alerts.
There should be controls to allow us to set the levels of email alerts they receive. I feel like I'm getting spammed by Sophos every day with trivial errors like a computer missed an update.

The alerts functionality is not configurable. This is a limitation of using the service in two ways.
1. Alerts only go to the registered email addresses for admin users. We would prefer to send them to a servicedesk address instead.
2. Unless the alerts that are sent out are configurable any use of the feature above would difficult as many of the alerts are not an issue at all and require no action.
Making both of these options configurable would allow the smooth integration of the cloud platform with customer service desks making the customer (IT Technicians) and user (End Users) experience better.

I would add to this that I don't need all of my Help Desk users to get alerts --better for my Admins to assign them to HD staff. So I want the ability to turn off all alerts, or some categories of alerts, for some users.
Customization of alerts. We are receiving too many alerts that create noise and it would be great to get to the alerts that need attention then keep getting alerts for everything. I am requesting a feature request for customization of alerts for Sophos Central please immediately! Thank you.

It would be nice to be able to customize alerts and their frequency. Receiving an email on the weekend that Computer1 did not update properly is not a good of my time.
Further to this - we have customers that would like to have the ability to customise the email notifications to disable hyperlinks (to identified threats) as well as the ability to customise which roles are able to receive notifications.

I would like to add a step further to this and enable custom notification. We currently have multiple tenants setup inside the cloud console (we are a MSP) and when we get alerts all the subjects is the same. It would be nice to prefix the alerts which says what customer / machine its from in the subject.

Because Email Alerts for Sophos Central endpoint can be sent only from Sophos Central server and is sent only once per 24h, many customers want to set parameters more flexible. As a result customers need to use Email Alert function of SAV by setting parameters locally on each machine because Sophos Central can not change the settings for local email alert function.
If a customer has many clients, it takes so long time to apply the setting to all machines.
Our customers want Sophos Central to be able to change the settings for email alerts like Enterprise Console.
