LDAP server user and group synchronization
We have customer here requesting to synchronize user and groups for LDAP server automatically without having the user to log in first or if possible to have a feature like in the active directory synchronization in which there is an option to import users and groups.
For your assistance please. Thank You

This is available in UTM.
With XG, users who have never logged in to the UserPortal don't seem to have a mail quarantine and such. Really annoying because there is a group import function, but it doesn't fetch the users until they actually have logged in once.

Is there going to be any update on this?
Do you have any Workaround to achieve above, as feature like in the active directory synchronization in which there is an option to import users and groups.
Also for synchronize user and groups from LDAP server automatically without having the user to log in first.
I need this badly, I wonder how many vote does it takes to respon, its been 3 year and just found out after replace my cyberoam to xg
I cannot support this request any more strongly.
It is impossible to migrate existing SG customers to XG without the features being at least on par.
If this isn't fixed I can see some customers electing to review other vendor solutions.
I totally agree, the constrain of associate a user to just one group is not possible in UTM used in smb company and not just a small shop.
We use SG version and due to this constrain we cannot migrate (we try XG but really the groups management is a step back compared to SG)

ability to authenticate user to LDAP Server without previously import the user.
Ability to the user belong to more than one group on LDAP Server, and sums Policies assigns to Groups.
I'm migrating from SonicWall to XG Sophos and this feature is missing and impacting on my migration.
