Common Objects used in all configurations
Give us objects like in the UTM, Why do i have to set a static ip in the dhcp, add a dns record in the dns server and create a ip host object for firewall rules, when i could do it all with one object in the UTM.. This was for me a really really perfect feature and it makes it all a lot easier to administrate since you don't have to do the same over and over again for different parts of the configuration.
This is currently being planned for inclusion in an upcoming version
I didn't want to renew my UTM 9 for another 3 years since it's surely going eol soon, decided to bit the bullet and convert to XG...would have paid the extra $8k to go with Palo Alto if I'd know I would have to assign a team of 3 for 4 days to manually enter all 752 definitions from SG into 5 different places in XG :(
3.5 years this has been "planned"?
What about adding "FQDN Host" in ACL parameters ?

Is there any idea when this will come out ?

I will increase the 'volume' on the Unified Host Objects subject...!
Sophos XG is completely unusable without it. Period! It's ridiculous that this is not part of the software. Until this being added, no way i will ever migrate!
On the positive side of things... it looks great and the interface is after some time more logically build. Nice.
Migration Tool UTM => XG??

I would like to be able to use everywhere both single address/service/etc objects but also group objects. I had a group of addresses that needed to be routed through the same interface to the same gateway. I had to manually type/add every destination route.

This is stopping my upgrade from UTM 9 :( I really enjoy the Unified Host Objects and cannot think of upgrading without this feature.

If possible, you should change the title to "Unified Host Objects", thats what they were called in the UTM.

this also applies to the firewall rules / policies. I had to manually tip the ports for forwarding instead of simply dragging or choosing from list. I mean come on! How can this not be an alpha-feature?!?! At least put up a list to choose from...
