Assigning static ip to SSL VPN users
It would be very convenient to assign static ip to users logging in through SSL VPN client. Currently this feature is available only to L2TP and PPP users.
SOPHOS - Can we finally get this added? There are dozens of use cases where assigning a static IP to a given user is valuable and/or required.
Possible per user for ipsec it just needs to be added for SSL
How has this not been done yet?
SIX YEARS LATER.
Sophos never listen to their customers. There are so many decent and popular enhancement requests here ignored and never actioned. May as well just shut down this website TBH.
we want also
I can see this is listed for IPsec remote access against each user but nothing for ssl VPN which would be useful.
When can we expect this feature?
will this feature be available?

Just some ideas to resolve this today:
You can work with SNAT / DNAT to give specific IPs always the same IP.
You can work with user based Firewall rules to allow a certain User to access resources.
We need this feature ASAP, been waiting for it for almost FIVE years.
In a compliancy season (with GDPR/LGPD and others) like we all stay today, this precise user tracking it's a great feature for all admins
It would be very usefull.
Please add this feature :)
I require to initiate traffic from the server to the client.
We also would need it :(
how should an authorization concept work across multiple firewalls without static ip?
In UTM9 it works!
Adding on to the support - this would be a huge value add for me.
SSL more common than other VPN protocols and everyone uses it due to a shortage in L2PP and PPTP. So, It's important to add this feature.
Unfortunately, I voted for many features with a high number of votes. but no response after years!.
