Multicast Forwarding For Entire Netywork
It would be helpful if there was an option to select an entire network or a range of IP addresses for multicast forwarding. Currently, only individual IP addresses can be entered.

Change mac-address to WAN alias
Hello Team,
I need you to implement the mac-address change function for Aliases. I would need to differentiate the mac-address between the ip associated with the physical card and the ip associated with the alias.
I would not be wrong but in the SG series this was possible.
Thank you.Andrea Protto

Sophos XG Home Hardware limits
Considering the high internet connections already available to home users I think it would be important to at least increase the CPU's limit.
Currently is 4 threads, whichs is a problem because in most home installations the firewall is virtualized and this means that you can only use 2 cores (4 threads).
I think a limit of 8 threads would be fine. Right now the firewall with the IPS enable can hardly go above 300Mbps and I have 2 cores and 4 threads at 3.8 Mhz Zen2.19 votes -

Maybe Team up with a company like Welotec and use something like their Arrakis platform. Or take it a step further and make your own. A ruggedized RED would be the only device of its kind in the industry and ensure sales of rugged XG devices.
Don’t let market share slip away on this HUGE opportunity, critical infrastructure is in dire need of the type of devices you are so good at producing. Once the industry starts standardizing on a particular product they tend to…

Update the BIOS on SG to change the HW ID so it appears as an XG once upgraded to SFOS?
Right now we can upgrade later SG models to the latest firmware and essentially turn them into an XG at least from a firmware standpoint. Unfortunately they still show up as SG models which in turn prevents us from creating an HA pair with the same exact XG model even though the hardware is virtually identical. If you compare an SG230 Rev.1 and an XG230 Rev.1 they appear to be exactly the same. Why not give us a BIOS update so our upgraded SG model can now become an XG?

Device ID indicators
It would be nice to have a feature like most servers to have a light on front and back of hardware that could be turned on from web interface to identify the box.

SPF+ Module for cable-connection
Hi, more and more small cusomters don't have DSL but cable based internet. So a SPF+ based cable-connection (like new DSL) would be a good thing.

XG Firewall model with native GSM port
