ARM Processor Support
With the advent of the Surface Pro X, there is becoming a push for more 2-in-1 devices to work on ARM technology (as is found in most cell phones and tablets) to run full Windows OS's. However, there is no support for Endpoint Protection (Cloud or On-Prem) for these types of devices. I would like to see an Endpoint Protection package (Anti-virus, firewall, application control, etc.) that will support ARM processors.
Is there anything new about this topic? I am running Windows ARM on a MAC M1 by Parallels Desktop. All i miss is the Sophos Endpoint.

Great Post Really
I heard from a reliable source that an EAP for Windows ARM support will be released tomorrow (May 25, 2021)!!!
Additionally, there is currently an EAP available for the Apple M1 processor.
SOMEONE FROM SOPHOS SUPPORT NEEDS TO UPDATE THIS CHAT. THE FACT THAT SUPPORT FOR ONE OF THE NEWEST AND FASTEST GROWING ARCHITECURES IN THE BUSINESS WORLD HAS NO SUPPORT TO THIS DAY IS INDEFENSIBLE.
The topic of ARM Support can be broken up into two categories:
1. Windows running on an ARM64 processor
2. The new M1 processor in the new Mac hardware
For Windows, there is an EAP starting later this month with an ARM64 implementation of our Intercept X, and Intercept X with EDR product, and General Availability will happen shortly. We've already had some initial experiences with Qualcomm as you would have seen in various announcements:
For the Mac M1 support, there is support today via Rosetta 2. There is also an EAP in progress that provides native M1 support:
Sophos Product Management
Any progress on this? Sophos Central supports MacOS M1 (arm) now but still nothing for Surface Pro X
Agree, an update here would be great. Maybe a timeline on even a beta product would be helpful for planning with clients that are moving into these ARM devices. The Surface Pro X is gaining in popularity especially with our financial services clients.
An update would be greatly appreciated...
Hello, is the support for Surface Pro X coming any time soon ?
If you could please just answer if this is a matter of weeks or years ?
Thnaks in advance
Any status on a beta, even? So many enterprise appliances now run on Raspberry Pi, I can't even understand why Sophos would leave us behind the curve.

Have they figured this out yet?!!!! Just wasted 1500 bucks because the outside salesmen NEED 4GLTE in a SURFACE product
Any update? it's been almost 2 years...
How long does it take to check on it?
Any update on this? Microsoft Surface Pro X and now Mac's are coming out with this ARM style processor
Is this going to be supported?
We purchased 10 new Surface Pro X devices as well and just found this out. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but surprised for sure.
It's disappointing that there are no comments from Sophos in this thread regarding if it's on the roadmap.
One of our clients has run into this issue after purchasing about 45 of the Surface Pro tablets.
Sophos, are we going to get this or not? Is it in development? On anyone's radar?
If not, it needs to be.
This will become a key reason to have customers move to another provider. Please get this sorted ASAP.
