  1. Networking: Server Load Balancing with only 1 Server

We should be able to create a server load balancing rule with only one server in it. Right now, you have to create/edit a rule with at least two. Not allowing this prevents you from temporarily removing a server from a pool for maintenance.

  2. WAN Multipath: Use additional addresses for NAT

when more then one address is configured on a physical interface it should be possible to use multipathing with these additional addresses.
so that its possible to make nat rules like:
    uplink_itf(second-adress wan1/second-adress wan2)

  3. Networking: Display active DNS clients

When viewing DNS settings, you can see the static enteries you have configured, but you should also be able to view active clients... like you can with active leases in DHCP.

  4. Networking: DNS Incoming Load Balancing

It would be cool if the UTM could update DNS records to balance the incoming traffic. By changing the DNS answer across the public addresses configured on the UTM, the records could update (although with a delay) in reference to how much bandwidth and connection are used on the WAN links at a point in time to avoid new incoming connections being delivered to overloaded links.

  5. Networking: Time-Based WAN Link Balancing Rules

If multi-path rules can be defined with time-based behavior (for example a rule is from 8am to 5pm active) and the possibility with 2 other feature requests (Create "Uplink Interface Groups" or Multi-WAN-Uplink: User-Defined) you can defined very cool multi-path rules.

  7. Multple Address Support for Static DNS Entries

    Hi,

i am missing some feature requests from the past, which where opened in the myastaro partner support form for feature requests.
    Let´s try again:

I have a suggestion from a customer regarding static dns entries.
Here you have the chance to submit an ip-adress for a hostname. But only one ip per hostname.
In the RFCs multiple ips are allowed for one hostname.
It would be nice to be able to configure this on the appliance too.

    Regards
    Daniel

  11. VOIP Security: Customizable SIP port

Some VOIP providers use a non standard SIP port number. I also imagine some companies using VOIP would like to use a non standard SIP port number given the chance.

The request is to allow the port that the SIP service monitors to be changed from the default port of 5060.

  12. VPN: DHCP Static Mappings for Remote Access Users

We're talking about incoming VPN sessions & what IP address is assigned to that session. What does it matter? If you can assign the session an IP address within your subnet - this makes life easy for everybody. (i.e. peole can map network drives from home) In v7.4, as long as the Astaro is NOT functioning as your DHCP server - you can point remote access VPN session to your internal DHCP server for an assignment. (i.e. this mean people can map drives) However, 90% of my customers (after spending big $ on Astaro) want the Astaro controlling DHCP (and…
