  1. Mail Security: Auto-whitelist Recipients of Outgoing Email Messages

All emails sent by internal users or from internal mail servers have their recipient addresses added to the MailSecuriy's whitelist.

That way if you send someone an email, you know that their reply will not be blocked.

  2. Mail Security: Blacklisted Sender Options

Currently, any mails received from an e-mail address in the sender blacklist (under Mail Security / SMTP / Anti-Spam) are silently dropped.

How about providing an option where you can choose to do the following:

    1) Silently drop / blackhole the email (current functionality)

    2) Quarantine the email so the end user can choose to release

    3) Bounce the email to the sender with a customisable message

    4) Redirect the email to another destination address.

  5. Mail Manager: "Bounce" option for Global cleanup

In case of a misconfiguration or the introduction of an infected PC, it is possible for the mail queue to contain tens of thousands of NDRs.If they are deleted, they are replaced. If they are bounced, they are not replaced. 100 at a time takes too long, so the only current solution is to reinstall from scratch.

  6. Mailsecurity: Prevent admin from downloading mails

Even though I'm the admin of our groupware-server, I cannot read e-mails of other employees (unless they themselves gave me proxy-rights to their mail-account or shared one of their mailfolders with me). But I can download all e-mails which were put in quarantine. German law prohibits employees (including admins) from reading other people's mails. You could be jailed if you do so.
I would like to have the mail download feature disabled. Even better if mails were stored in an encrypted format an the ASGs hard drive, to make it impossible for admins to read other people's mails.

  7. Mail Protection: SMTP relay by domain

Would be extremely beneficial to incorporate a list of allowed domain names to relay for authenticated users.

  8. Mail Protection: Forward POP3 Emails via SMTP to internal Server

There are still a many customers out there which use POP3 Mailboxes. If a customer want's to connect these POP3 mailboxes to an internal Microsoft Exchange server, they always need to purchase an add-on tool which needs to be licensed on a per user basis. The tool downloads the POP3 Emails and forwards them 1:1 to the internal Server via SMTP. Each POP3 Mailbox needs to be configured via server, username and password and an SMTP email address where the email gets forwarded to.. Integrate this add-on feature and minimize the cost and effort needed to install, manage and maintain…

  9. MailSecurity: Spam Action Forward

The Mail Manager should have the ability to forward a message in the quarantine to a specified address. This could be used to correct invalid recipients, and/or "send back" messages to the sender in a sort of crafted bounce.. Provide administrators with more choice in managing mail and messages.

  10. MailSecurity: Whitelist Per Profile

It should be possible to maintain a sender whitelist per profile (vs just per user in the portal), since we already have such functionality for blacklisting.... Better flexibility and configuration options.

  11. Authentication: Email address to LDAP Query

When using openldap (such as against lotus) add the ability to have astaro retrieve the mail address correctly, currently it is not retrieved.. More integration options with non-windows/exchange environments.

  12. Email Encryption: PGP Delivery Options

It should be possible to deliver the PGP public key for a user via either a send-key button, download it from the portal, or otherwise make possible to distribute a users key once it is created, in some sort of automated, self-serve fashion.. Eases PGP encryption adoption.

  13. MailSecurity: Automatically Add Domains

With mail hosting MSP's and others that make use of multiple domains (hundreds even thousands) on their ASG or AMG, it would be nice if they could just input a nameserver which would then resolve the configured domains and add them to the SMTP proxy vs having to enter them each time.. Allows for easier adoption and addition of many email domains, for those customers in this space.

  14. Option to present TLS certificate for outgoing email

Currently the TLS certificate seems to only be used for incoming email. Many TLS partners have asked whether it would be possible to present the TLS certificate also for outgoing communication, which is more secure.

  16. Mail Manager: Option to clear all filter checkboxes

Often i quicly wants to see for example all emails that have been rejected as SPAM, or by file filter or some other reason.
Now i have to manually clear all the check boxes first, and then enable only the one or two i need to show the desired result.
It would be very nice with a button, that simply cleared alle the boxes with one click!

  17. Automatic S/Mime Certificate retrieval via Mail

I suggest you implement a system where a remote user can automatically retrieve the public part of the S/Mime certificate by sending an email.
    E.g.
User+SMIME@domain.tld would instruct the UTM/SG to send the public part of the certificate to the sender.

Alternatively a dedicated address on the UTM/SG where one sends an email to and receives a link to download the public part of the S/MIME-cert

  18. Mail Protection: Per-Exception "Hit" counters

In order to better fine-tune the mail exceptions and rules, it would be very helpful to see counts of messages that passed because of each exception. This may require restructuring the mail-exceptions, since it is not currently like the firewall rules with a numbered list of exceptions.
This would be especially useful if particular (false negative) emails could be easily matched to an exception rule (if there was one involved.) This would allow much better response time to user complaints.
