Management: Connectwise Integration
This would be helpful to the thousands of Managed IT Service Organizations using ConnectWise as a PSA who are basically looking for a great security device that we can roll out to clients and manage centrally, with reporting and metrics available through ConnectWise

Met with Charles and Peter out of the Boston office yesterday and they suggested I hound you about this... :)
Connectwise generates a report each month, automatically if so chosen, which has a bunch of great information in it pertaining to usage and overall systems health. This information comes from the various integrations Connectwise has with a number of products and solutions. If the Astaro system could send information to Connectwise and then have that information populate the monthly MSP report, we would look like heroes in the eyes of our clients.
Currently Connectwise has one integration with firewalls (I know you are more than a firewall), and that is with Sonicwall. Sonicwall will report on Bandwidth usage, Top users, top filtered sites, and top intrusions for the device. If we could get similar information from the Astaro reporting system, sent to Connectwise we would be on the right track.

ConnectWise has approximately 4000 partners who serve the IT community (and growing). As a professional services automation tool, it is the crux of our business operations. They have worked extensively on a free open API which is in use by a great number of vendors, allowing IT companies to keep track of critical metrics of their customers and report on them both internally and TO the client. Examples include serial numbers, warranty expiration dates, etc..
Some examples of integration include:
Postini - Number of accounts (based on client) and spam averages and criteria
Kaseya - Computer information, drive space, serial numbers, etc...
Zenith Infotech - Same as Kaseya with backup integration (billable Gb for storage)
Reflection - Spam criteria and metrics
Sonicwall - GMS integration of statistics (per client firewall) for reporting capability
Xerox - Pay-per-Click integration for managed print services
Intronis - Off-site backup figures
Etc... much of this information flows to the billing system allowing partners to create their recurring invoices with very little time or effort, automating reporting of the criteria they are billing on. Not having this type of integration would be like Verizon sending out cell phone bills one-by-one since they would have a human being adding up minutes used and typing them in to each client.
Ideally, the partner would set up a "configuration" in ConnectWise for the Astaro appliance/software using the serial number of the product. The Astaro would then report to ConnectWise such items as expiration dates, number of users, amount of spam caught (if using that function), and other summary metrics. It is not needed to physically change any configurations.
thanks for the input, as we are not familar with ConnectWise, how does such an integration look like and what is more needed?
