Refresh button for DYNDNS to force update
There needs to be a way to force an update and refresh of the IP to the DNS vendor. There currently is no way to do this. Turning it off and back on does not do this. If for any reason the IP gets set from another location it will not update with the correct IP because the service does not see that the IP on the firewall has changed.
"he is right. in dd-wrt, just disabling and enabling did the trick, but not in Sophos UTM"
Sophos only updates the IP when the IP changes.
There is a way to force a DDNS update on Sophos.
1. Go to terminal (or SSH)
2. Log in with the root (or loginuser) account
(use sudo su if you're logged in with loginuser)
3. Enter the following command: ddclient -force
If everything works okay, you should see something like
SUCCESS: updating [hostname]: good: IP address set to [you're public IP]

I am fighting with this right now. I had a number of interface up/downs due to a storm and now it's confused on the correct IP and I have NO WAY to force it to update. Very frustrating.
