Neworking: Support Bonjour/avahi/mdns to forward mdns between Subnets
Provide a way to setup one or multple mdns reflectors so publishing services across subnets works.
i am working on a school sophos install and they have over 1000 ipads and printers that support Bonjour/mDNS. as a workaround we needed to setup a Linux VM that has access to all the vlans to repeated mDNS traffic. other venders like sonicwall, Palo Alto and Fortinet have a mDNS repeater on the firewall simply turn it on with a tick box...
Need it for all IoT and cast devices.
love to see this implemented for inter VLAN traffic

it is similar to
i have installed avahi to enable mdns routing between networks.
this thema (multicast routing and mdns routing) is very important if some office/company has appletv/iphones or other bonjour-based devices for autodiscovery
This would be particularly useful. We have a customer that bought a Lantronix xPrintServer. He wants this on his LAN, and wants to allow guests to log into a wireless network defined on the UTM. The guests are iPhones, and use mDNS to discover services... the xPrint Server responds to mDNS, apparently.
Being able to route this traffic is a requirement in order to make this work. The customer doesn't want his guests bridged to his LAN.

LAN, more specifically the wired and wireless subnets. I tries PIM-SM it works fine for SSDp but not for mdns. It uses a TTL of 1 so it never gets routed. Interesting post on the issue: http://blog.packetqueue.net/why-bonjour-hates-my-wireless-network/
Are you looking to do this for purposes of VPN or just for LAN routing?
