WebAdmin: Export / Import of Network Definitions
Make it possible to export and import lists of definitions - especially host definitions.
This feature was implemented in XG Firewall

Would be kind of useful, having to start a fresh due to buggy config...
And Waiting, And Waiting, And Waiting MAKE IT HAPPEN SOPHOS!!!
10 YEARS IS FAR TO LONG to wait for such a feature for both UTM9 and XG

Still waiting for this essential feature on UTM...
What about your UTM customers? This an basic function that should be in your UTM product.
We still need this for the SG UTM! A export/import feature is essential or at least a way to create these rules via the terminal!

This would be very useful. Please add feature.

Wold greatly appreciate this feature especially when using the utm to relay the emails to those using Microsoft Exchange online for their email. It takes a considerable amount of time to generate the definitions manually.
@Andreas Prassas: If you expand your UTM infrastructure and need an central management with same objects -> look to Sophos UTM Manager (SUM).

We are expanding with Sophos UTM firewalls to branch offices. Needless to say that an import/export feature of definitions missing is vastly disappointing and unacceptable.
I have to waste a lot of precious time to manual type in hundreds of definitions. This is a feature that needs to be implemented ASAP.
C'mon Sophos. You sold me a pair of Email Appliances saying it would be a huge upgrade from the UTM SMTP. But, since I can't export from UTM, I am forced to bring up both GUIs side-by-side and copy IPv4 addresses from the objects in UTM and paste them into a descriptionless list. This is a fail on both the UTM and SEA products.
I was hoping to make the move from another firewall to Sophos. However, I have web services opened to the internet and I have a custom list of known offenders that I need to block.
A missing feature like this in 2017 is deplorable. This also keeps me from subscribing for the paid support tier.
Just got my new SG device. Happy with what I could see so far but cannot believe, there is no export/import functionality. This is a showstopper for any professional product of this range.

Well Alan Toews, that's great that this basic feature is in the XG firewall. However, this does not help the USM 9 owners. I've worked with many different firewalls over the years and this is the first firewall that does not have import/export functionality. This forum has been active since 2009 and Sophos has not added this basic feature in all this time. I am sick of Sophos ignoring the needs of its users.
I hope you start listening to your customers. We chose this product. We can just as easily abandon it and choose something else. I personally prefer CheckPoint, Sonic Wall and Palo Alto Networks.
so what about SG firewalls is there any way to import ?????
Office 365, WebEx and GoTo need hundreds of exemptions.
We need this for our UTMs today!

Agree with all other respondents to this post: Sophos have lost the plot with this much requested feature. Having it is XG in a really silly excuse for UTM owners.
How can we get Sophos to prioritise this feature? After all it has been requested for 8 years now.
Make noise people.

As of today, there are 665 unique IP ranges used for Microsoft Office 365 services, from the Admin center to Exchange Online, to Yammer, etc. There is currently no way to import or bulk add these addresses in UTM. Please add this feature. I am trying to add these as per a Sophos support technician request. A simple CSV import tool would be amazing.
I understand this is in XG, but it doesn't help UTM customers.

I understand that this feature has been implemented in the XG Firewall but the lack of it for large number of users running UTM 9 makes life rather difficult. For example, Microsoft has a large number of IPs which I would like to easily import instead of creating a defintion for each IP. I have better things to do with my time like playing computer games ;-) From what I have read, a number of UTM 9 clients have requested this feature. Sophos has tried to allay fears of UTM 9 users by publically stating that Sophos will continue to develop both products in parallel but in reality this does not appear to be the case.

XG firewall IS NOT a replacement for the SG UTM
