VPN: Support zeroconf / avahi / bonjour
Given that Astaro's VPN mechanism creates non-bridged subnets, it'd be incredibly useful for networks with a large number of Macs particularly to have Wide-Area Bonjour (i.e. Avahi or Zeroconf) built into ASG's DNS server.
I want Bonjour bridging / gateway for AirPrint between subnets.
I need bonjour to provied airprint between subnets
I have customers that are using iPads for Store machines. They are wireless on a bridged AP to the local eth0. They can't air print to anything hardwired into the network due to mDNS not traveling between two bridged interfaces?
Seriously, especially on the smaller 105 units... bridge to AP on the WiFi should not require me to bridge the WLAN as well in the interfaces... and still not treat both media networks as a true single network.

I want bonjour to work across subnets for my home network please!
This feature should be used to enable also airplay mirroring between apple devices (actually not working with sophos).
Please implement this feature
This would be great!
i put 3 votes on this, but seeing as this has been open since 2009 i guess i won't be seeing them back anytime soon!
Yes Apple are annoying, but would be great if my friends overpriced stuff works on my superior network.
This is a PITA. We are in need of this too. Or, for HP to quit programming things to use Bonjour. :)
I agree that this should be enhanced for VPN as well as Inter-Network Subnets for situations like, e.g. Internal Wireless & Internal LAN that choose not to Bridge to AP.

I think this should be expanded to all inter network connections, not only in the VPN.
I don't believe this can still be considered an option. An iPad needs to be able to access all network services. Aerohive has solved this and I am forced to push customers in their direction because of this "lack" in Sophos products.
I agree. I have MacBooks that backup using Time Machine in OS X. This needs Bonjour. If the ASG supported mDNS forwarding then the laptops could backup over the VPN. Bonjour is becoming more and more popular, so support would be appreciated!
