Networking: QoS For VPN Traffic
Allow for Quality of Service rules to be created that apply to VPN traffic of roadwarrior and site-site.. Allows for better management of traffic limits and gives admins the ability to guarantee and control bandwidth across VPN's. Perhaps part of a V8 Revamp of QoS?
and simply for example to give VPN a higher priortiy over NON VPN traffic from a remote site.

This feature is very much needed. We know that we can build QoS rules on the ASG side for the "RED Interface" but that only addresses one side of the tunnel. The RED needs to be able to apply QoS policies on it's WAN and LAN interfaces in order for QoS to be effective.

It will be very attractive and helpful if RED with QoS to guarantee bandwidth for most core business application (eg. VoIP, Video Conference, ERP...)
For IPsec, wouldn't this be fairly straightforward? It seems like all you would need is to have in WebAdmin QoS would be a checkbox for TOS bits to also set them. Then, if the "Interface" is a VPN (or Remote Access) tunnel, traffic bound for the tunnel is simply tagged with TOS bits prior to encryption and the internal QoS rule uses the interface to which the IPsec tunnel is bound.
Marc, although you can't do it for RDP, it is possible to do QoS for VoIP going through an IPsec site-to-site connection. Come on over to http://www.astaro.org to get help from other users.

very important to give priority for some services like RDP or VoIP through the VPN, also (for example) a big printjob, OutlookExchangeSynch or file up-/download blocks all bandwidth.
Please Vote this :-)

This feature would be very interesting for every company with branch offices. We are right now in a migration scenario planning where QOS for VoIP is one big attibute of the design of gateways.
