It would be helpful to have the hostname show up on the login page. For security it could be an option that is enabled or disabled -- and to take it a step further, it would even better if it were displayed or not depending on the subnet or IP address the user was coming from. The reason for this option is that I have a bunch of Astaro devices and it would help to see the hostname of the one I'm logging into so that I don't login to the wrong system by accident.

It would be very helpful for large installations to be able to copy and paste objects. This would allow for more rapid creation of numerous similar objects

Because we have several ASG's, we have an overhead in organizing the weekly configuration backup files, because they have all the same name. It would be helpful to have backup-<name>-<timestamp>.abf.

Customers currently create support tickets and are otherwise looking for ways to remove the "warning" messages associated with the certificates that are generated right from the AxG for webadmin/userportal. We should support such certificates from verisign, keytrust etc..... Allows companies to use officially purchased/accepted resources with our solution, removing potential "warning" messages.

We need to make improvements to the Widget tool which allows you to enter and maintain white and blacklist entries. Currently they are quite unwieldy if you have lots of entries. We should be able to sort, delete all, and otherwise scale this part of WebAdmin.

For example, the email addresses in the SMTP whitelist and blacklist list boxes need to be searchable so you can see if something is already in it.

Add a confirmation box for deletion of objects/users etc..Prevents accidentally removing an object and its associated configuration by a mis-click.

The way it is now it is more complicated than it needs to be when specifying rules based on time events that span midnight. For instance, if I want to control weekday usage, I need to make a rule for Monday through Friday, say, 22:00 to 24:00, then another rule for Tuesday through Saturday 0:00 through 5:00. Maybe allowing me to specify 22:00 to 29:00, or something. I'm not sure how to implement it, but I think it could be much "smarter" about spanning midnight.

Allow the usage of groups in more available areas, such as in Static, Policy rooutes, so that anyplace a definition can be specified and it makes technical sense, groups will be allowed as well.. Further integrates groups and reduces the amount of configuration an administrator must do by allowing us to extrapolate many things from a single group.

Currently it is only possible to add single string entries into these widgets, adding 20 or even more entries is time consuming. Therefore we need to extend the widget to have an additional import/export/change functionality. Possible would be that the while data will be displayed in a single 'textarea' field where customers can cut'n'paste stuff in and out. We had a similar functionality in V6 in the black- and whitelist.

Provide the ability for admins to specify the shortcut key combinations to be used, vs the previously hard-coded ctrl+ keys.. Allows avoiding conflicts with existing key shortcuts on a user system, (like copy/paste).

retain the search data once the search is submitted.. avoid having to re-enter the same info over and over after running a search and then working with the results, and going back to the search result list.

Many configurations need to be fine-tuned, therefore cloning an existing object and modifying it slight is a often used approach. In V6 the auto-form caching took care of that, but in V7 this is no longer supported. Adding a "Clone button" that prefilles the new form with the old data would help. faster fine-tuning and less administration time.

Currently if we release an Up2date package there is a time delay while the ASG gets a download slot, downloads and completes it, and makes it ready for installation. Meanwhile the dashboard shows an up2date available for download, which can confuse the user, as they think there is something to do on their end to make it happen. If an up2date is available, show the exact status as "waiting for slot, downloading, downlaoded, and show the status on the dashboard view as well as the up2date page".. Clarifies the up2date process and avoids support issues and customer confusion.

Currently it is not possible to set the default number of items to display for many WebAdmin tables, it is hard coded at 25. Add the ability to set the default number.. Fine tunes the webadmin further for the admin and how he uses the product.

Add an RSS Style feed to the dashboard with relevant information from the Up2Date blog or other sources.. Keeps admins in the loop on NECESSARY astaro news which affects them, which might otherwise be missed if they do not read the partner newsletter or make use of other resources we provide.
