  1. Extended RED logging on UTM

Enable extended logging of RED device-connections on the UTM. This should include the following infos:
    - RED downloaded config from provisioning server
    - RED has initialized firmware update
    - DHCP-config the RED received (if configured as DHCP)

This would greatly enhance the ability of the admin to debug RED-issues before opening a support call with the Partner and/or Sophos and may speed up recovery times.
Therefore it would be beneficial to all parties :-)

  3. RED: ASG RED-Configuration by CSV-File

It would be nice if there is a possibility that you can upload a predefinied csv-file with all the configuration-data for a mass red deployment.

    Example:

    Branch-Office Name; RED-ID; IP-Addr; Subnet; DNS, DHCP-Start, DHCP-End,Tunnel-Mode.

  4. Red with simple Fw rules + NAT

You have done a great job with adding Mac filter that you can simpley push out to the RED. Now can we add one (1) service group to push out so that the remote office that runds RED with Split mode can have som security and should be independed of a nother vendor for that. Also with that NAT out.

  5. Implement RED 802.11 Port Security

Implement 802.11 port security on RED. RED device would pass authentication requests to the UTM or another NAC server for validation. This would allow only trusted devices to connect to the RED and pass traffic to the UTM.

  7. RED: Hardware USB Security Dongle

Dongle support for RED, which allows you to place a special file on a USB drive (generated by the ASG) which will only open the tunnel only in case the dongle is plugged in the USB port; so the RED can be left at the location without risking invaders.

If you want to physically restrict access to the RED (such as going home) you bring the dongle with you.

  8. RED: NAT / Masquerading Support

Add Masquerading Support for RED Devices. If someone has RED devices in Split Mode in use, and surf locally (without filters / security) this only works on routed / NAT'ed uplinks. Cable modems or 3G / UMTS Sticks do not allow traffic directly to Internet due missing Masquerading (Internal vs. public IP)

  9. RED: Notify of Duplicate Networks

While playing around with RED, we've recently had the problem that we accidently used a network 192.168.x.x/24 for the RED network that was already used for another VPN connection. That caused some trouble because we could not find why we did not get a connection through RED.

So it would be great if Astaro could implement a feature that checks if a network is already used somewhere (VPN, routing, etc.) and throws out a warning if someone uses it elsewhere.

  13. add the right (under roles) for viewing the RED Box Status

I need to allow a user to view the status (Online/Offline) of all redboxes, as seen on Tab "Overview" under RED Management. This user should not see any other configurations or logs.

  15. RED: Connection with more than one UTM

Would be great to be able to use 1 RED device (RED10, RED50) with more than one UTM at a time to be able to connect to 2 Office/DataCenter with only 1 RED device..

  16. RED10 Diagnostic Log

The ability to either view a log directly on a RED device that is not connecting or insert a USB drive into the RED and the RED will load a diagnostic file onto the USB for viewing.

We are frequently frustrated by RED devices that just "don't work" for one reason or another. With no ability to see at which point the device is failing we are just shooting in the dark to find a solution to get the RED connected.

  17. Sierra 310U 4G/LTE support for RED devices

Customer would like support for the product above or 4G/LTE on RED devices. They want it so that when used for HA in RED, when the main internet connection goes offline, it will fail over to the Sierra 310U.

  20. RED: Display Link for Version Lights and Codes

It would be nice on the UTM to have a Link to a help screen that lists the Light Available on that RED Version and the Light Codes for the boot sequence. Ver 1 has a System, Router, Internet and Tunnel, while other might have a System, Internet and Tunnel only. Also the little 1 sheet setup guide on newer RED devices doesn't detail what the light error codes mean. So you now have to guess if the problem is with the provider or with the RED itself.
