While it is possible to provide an app to a group of devices, it is not possible to retire that app unless device by device. Please make it possible to uninstall it by group as well.
It should also possible to uninstall an app from multiple devices in one step7 votes
It would be useful to have a "Delay" task where we could specify a time period the SMC server waits before he carries out an action. When using this Delay task the server would have the current status again before executing the following task.
The user device is not compliant anymore because the user has installed a blacklisted app.
- Task1: Notify the user that a forbidden app was installed
- Task2: Wait for 15 minutes
- Task3: Check if the device is still not compliant and in case it is, wipe the device.
Implement user switching in the SMC client. The old user logs out and all user specific settings are removed with the respective profiles. Optionally, additional restrictions will apply. If the new user logs in the restrictions will be removed and the personal profiles from the new user will be applied. This makes e.g. an iPad capable to support multiple users in a restricted environment (schools, hospitals, police)7 votes
When a device gets non-compliant today we have the chance to send a "lockdown" profile. Could be useful if it is compliant again to have the possibility to have an automatic remediation that delete the "lockdown" profile.31 votes
As requested by some working councils in Germany, SMC EAS Proxy can be used to block e-mail delivery after the working hours. Sample: E-Mail to mobile devices will just be send 7am-7pm. After 7pm mail delivery will be stopped via EAS Proxy. The profile remains, no mail will be deleted35 votes
For loss/theft protection, please implement the ability to let the phone ring in a very loud tone (even on muted) for at least 1 minute.
This helps, if you have lost your phone in your house. It also can disturb thiefs to get away unnoticed11 votes
Instead of whitelisting/blacklisting specific apps, why not be able to allow/block certain categories of apps instead? So that you are able to block games but allow productivity apps. Trojanized and malicious apps could be blacklisted as default.35 votes
