Disable iCloud synchronisation for contacts
We're currently facing the issue that not all of the (user's) iCloud settings can be set administratively. More precisely, there's no option to disable iCloud synchronisation for contacts.
But why do we need this option?
SMC is used on our field worker's iPhones. The guys are allowed to use their iPhones as if they were their own ones. So they configured the devices with their personal/private Apple-ID, they're syncing fotos, notes, etc. with the iCloud - and od course contacts, too.
Due to reasons of data protection we just can't enable the option "Export contacts to device" since local contacts will be synced with the (private) iCloud and maybe with other private devices.
But without the contacts being local in the iPhone's contacts app, they can't access the phone book via their company car's infotainment system/hands-free system, making outgoing calls without touching the phone fairly impossible.
The solution to this problem would be the possibility to disable iCloud synchronisation for contacts in the SMC-controlled device restrictions.
In this way the contacts coming from Sophos Secure Email can be exported to the device without having to deal with customer information in private iCloud storages.
To achieve the requested functionality, please select the Carkit option. It allows the phone to look into the Secure Email app and find any contact for the calling number. No contacts export is needed any longer

Thank you for answering my feature request, but unfortunately it's not about "caller identification" that can be achieved when enabling CallKit (that's what it's called btw.).
In fact, we're searching for a possibility to MAKE OUTGOING calls to contacts/numbers stored in the Sophos Secure Email app from the car's infotainment system, NOT only ANSWERING and identifying INCOMING calls.
Given that these funtionality only connects the infotainment/HFS with the iPhone's native contacts app, we simply can't export the contacts to the iOS cantacts app when it's synced with the user's private iCloud.
